About Verdue Media & Communications
A communications company that has a focus on community, agriculture and rural audiences.
Verdue Media and Communications serves rural and agricultural organizations. I believe we can help remove some of the stress of running a small business or non-profit. In every organization, there are always jobs we don't want to do because they are not our strengths, and they take our focus away from what we really signed up to do. I hope to leverage my experience in research, program development, online learning, and, communications into tools for any organization to implement. My goal for this company is to support organizations in a meaningful way. I believe incremental changes can be the most lasting since so much builds on the previous footings.
I've found over the years that I love working with smaller organizations filled with people with drive and a passion to do more for their neighbours and industry. What they lack in resources, they make up for in energy, flexibility and problem-solving. I feel that my job is to help them get the resources that they're looking for.
About Carlene Schneider
I was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario. I grew up in a medium-sized city, but my path was to live in an agricultural setting. I attended the University of Guelph, majoring in horticulture and business. On a whim, I took a job in Calgary while on vacation after graduation and found one great opportunity after the next. My positions have allowed me to meet some of the most inspiring yet humble people in rural Canada, and I bet you have a lot in common with them. Most recently, I have focused much of my time on online and distance education.
I've built a family and life with my husband, Dave, and my daughters, Tennessee and Sage. We bought Dave's family farm and added perennial fruit, a greenhouse, and a market garden, which have been growing over the last several years with Northline Farms. We feel so lucky to be in this community nestled between Edmonton and Elk Island National Park.
